Task View — Personal Organizer • Task View LLC
Task View LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Task View personal organizer application (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with your use of the App.
Task View LLC does not collect, store, or have access to:
Task View is not designed, audited, or certified for use with regulated or protected data categories. We do not knowingly process, and you may not use the App to store or manage:
Users are solely responsible for ensuring that any content entered into the App complies with applicable laws and regulations. Task View LLC expressly disclaims all liability arising from the use of the App with regulated or protected data. For regulatory compliance requirements, please use purpose-built, certified software.
All data you create in the App — including tasks, notes, priorities, Brain Dump entries, and settings — is stored locally on your device using SQLite, a local encrypted database. This data never leaves your device except as described in Section 4 (Cloud Backup) and Section 6 (Third-Party Services).
The following settings are stored locally on your device:
The App offers an optional cloud backup feature. If you enable cloud backup:
Task View LLC does not have access to your iCloud or Google Drive data. We do not store copies of your backup on our servers. We have no servers that receive or process your personal data.
Cloud backup is optional. If you do not enable it, your data remains only on your device.
If you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google to enable cloud backup, we receive a unique identifier from Apple or Google that allows us to associate your backup with your account. We do not receive or store your Apple ID email address or Google account email address on our servers. This identifier is stored locally on your device only.
The App uses the following third-party services that may collect limited information as part of their operation:
Your subscription is managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple or Google. Task View LLC does not receive or store your payment information. Apple and Google’s privacy policies govern their collection and use of your information.
The App uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status and validate purchases. RevenueCat may collect limited technical information to verify subscription status, such as a device identifier and subscription state. RevenueCat does not receive your personal task data. RevenueCat’s privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
The App uses Sentry for crash reporting and error monitoring. If the App crashes or encounters an error, Sentry may collect limited technical information including device type, operating system version, app version, and a stack trace describing the error. Sentry does not receive your personal task data, notes, or any content you enter into the App. Sentry’s privacy policy is available at https://sentry.io/privacy/.
As with all apps distributed through the App Store and Google Play, Apple and Google may collect certain technical and usage information through their platforms in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the App in a way that has provided personal information, please contact us at admin@taskviewapp.com and we will take appropriate action.
Because your data is stored on your device and in your own cloud accounts, its security is primarily governed by the security of your device and your Apple or Google account. We encourage you to use a strong device passcode and to keep your device’s operating system up to date.
Task View LLC does not maintain servers that store your personal data and therefore cannot be responsible for server-side data breaches involving your task data.
The App stores your data in a locally encrypted database on your device. The encryption key is stored in your device’s secure keychain (iOS Keychain on Apple devices, Android Keystore on Android devices) and is never transmitted off your device.
Your data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. The App provides a Delete All Data option in Settings that permanently removes all data from your device. If you have cloud backup enabled, you may delete your backup data through your iCloud or Google Drive settings.
We do not retain copies of your data after you delete it from your device and cloud accounts.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Because Task View LLC does not store your personal task data, you exercise these rights directly through your device settings and your Apple or Google account settings.
For questions about data processed by third-party services used by the App, please refer to their respective privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the Effective Date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, by providing notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because Task View LLC does not sell personal information and does not collect personal task data on its servers, many CCPA provisions may not apply. For questions, please contact us at the address below.
